We were happy to donate our work to support the work of the James River Association. Thanks to our members who made blocks, assembled the quilt top, added the binding and supported this effort. A special thank you to Melanie Leckey of Oh Sew Loved who quilted it.

QuiltCon Charity Sew Day

WE are excited to inform you of the date and location for our QuiltCon Charity Sew Day.

We are gathering from 9:00 a.m.  to 5:00 p.m.

on

Saturday, October 22, 2016, at

Holy Rosary Catholic Church
3400 R Street
Richmond VA 23223
This is Candra Parker’s church and she will be our hostess. The church is located in the East End/Church Hill area of the City of Richmond — perfect for making our river scrappy applique.

—Please bring a pot luck item for lunch. We’ll provide the snacks.

In case you’re wondering, we could not find a date at Quilting Adventures in October on the weekend. But, if you need fabric for this charity challenge, they have the right shades of pink, silver, white, citrus and yarrow.

The background blocks are due at our October meeting.

For the river, bring scraps of blue to the Sew Day on October 22. For reference, these are Kona Ultramarine, Kona Hyacinth, and Kona Ocean.

See you October 22!
