2026 Monthly Program
In 2026, our quilt guild will take a collective pause and explore the beauty of slow stitching. This year is an invitation to step away from rushing projects to completion and instead focus on the joy of the process—one stitch at a time. Throughout the year, we will gather monthly to explore simple, mindful hand-stitching activities. Together, we’ll learn new stitches, revisit traditional techniques, and discover how small, intentional stitches can tell meaningful stories. These monthly practices are designed to be approachable for all skill levels and easily fit into busy lives.
We’ll also take our stitching beyond the meeting room, heading out on field trips where we can stitch together in inspiring settings and find fresh ideas in the world around us. Whether indoors or out, these shared experiences will strengthen our connections as makers and friends.
As a year-long project, members will create either a slow-stitching scroll or a fabric book—personal, evolving pieces that reflect each stitcher’s journey through the year. By December, we’ll have not just finished pieces, but a collection of memories, skills, and creative growth stitched into cloth.
We invite you to join us in slowing down, stitching with intention, and celebrating the quiet creativity that brings us together in 2026.
