For our May 2, 2017 meeting, we are exploring Line for our monthly Design Guidance Program with Hands-On Demonstration. Every decision involves a line: straight, curved or zig zagged. You need lines. This program will be fun and informative.
Kat and Wanda will demonstrate bias tape making and designing with bias tape.
Please Bring:
Strips to make bias tape. One continuous strip is recommended. (See links below for how to makes bias strips)
One piece of fabric for background (fat quarter or larger)
Wonder tape, fusible web or glue
Clover bias tape makers (optional) If you’re interested in using our clover bias tape makers, make 1″ strips or 5/8″ strips of bias fabric.
We’ll provide iron and ironing board.
If you have a design you want to practice with, bring that. This will also be a good time to experiment with contrast and color theory– our previous programs.
If you have examples of designing with bias tape, PLEASE SHARE.
